My Story
My name is Alex, in 2020 I studied for the RHS Level 2 Principles of Plant Growth and Development with a view to changing careers. Shortly after gaining practical experience through volunteering at The National Trust’s Dunham Massey Hall, a position became available on their gardening team, which I was delighted to accept.
In my time at Dunham Massey, I was responsible for looking after several large borders, such as the Orangery Borders, Herb Border, Serpentine Border and Moat Border, as well overseeing the running of the Kitchen Garden.
A creative eye
With a background in graphic design and illustration, I have an understanding of colour, texture and composition, which I have brought with me to my career as a gardener.
Creating complimentary layers to provide year round interest, from winter and springtime bulbs to the summer’s bloomers, and the late-flowering plants and colourful leaves of autumn, there is something for every season.
The next chapter
I now embark on the next chapter of my journey in horticulture and look forward to providing a personal service that comes with a great level of care, covering South Manchester and East Cheshire areas.
